MY STORY

How I Became a Dietitian

I didn’t grow up knowing everything about nutrition. I became interested in health and fitness after struggling with low energy, body image, and my eating habits while playing sports in high school and college.

I started learning more about how food affected my energy, training, recovery, and overall health. What started as curiosity eventually became a career.

I became a dietitian because I wanted to help other people make sense of nutrition and use it to improve their health. Today, I help people understand what their bodies need and turn that knowledge into realistic habits they can maintain.

MY APPROACH

Nutrition That Works in Real Life

I use an evidence-based and realistic approach to nutrition. Together, we build a plan around your health, goals, preferences, and lifestyle. The goal is to make meaningful changes you can maintain long term.

Evidence-Based

Nutrition can be confusing. I use current research and established nutrition guidelines to help you focus on recommendations you can trust.

Sustainable

You do not need a perfect diet. We focus on realistic changes you can practice consistently while still enjoying the foods you like.

Individualized

Your health history, lifestyle, food preferences, schedule, and goals all matter. Your nutrition plan should reflect them.

Outcome-Focused

We set clear goals, track your progress, and adjust your plan over time based on what is working.

WORKING TOGETHER

What You Can Expect From Nutrition Counseling

Nutrition counseling should feel collaborative, practical, and focused on what matters to you. We’ll work together to understand where you are now, establish clear priorities, and build a plan that fits your health and your life.

Your first session is about understanding your health, goals, current routines, and past experiences with nutrition.

We’ll talk about what has worked, what hasn’t, and what feels most challenging right now.

By the end of your appointment, you’ll have clear priorities and next steps to start working on.

A Little More About Me

I grew up in Colorado and still spend as much time outside as I can. I enjoy backpacking, strength training, and exploring the mountains.

When I’m not working or training, there’s a good chance I’m spending time with my Belgian Malinois, Kita.
